Day 1: Arrival (Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha)

Your tour guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and will escort you to your accommodation in Arusha where you will stay one night. As local Tanzanians, our guides know the country with unrivalled familiarity, so you’ll be in good hands from the moment you land to the moment you leave. Transfer to Arusha is about a one and a half hour drive. 

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park (Overnight in Karatu)

After enjoying an early breakfast we will depart the hotel and head to

what was named Hemingway’s favourite park in all of Africa, Lake Manyara National Park. Here we will begin the first “Game Drive” of the trip. From Lake Manyara’s  groundwater forest and elusive tree-climbing lions, to hippos cooling off in the water and flamingos frolicking on the shoreline, its sights and sounds are unforgettable. After  enjoying the day here, we will head to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater (Overnight in Serengeti)

After breakfast, we will depart from the lodge in Karatu and head to the one of the World’s Natural Wonders; Ngorongoro Crater. The game drive will take place on the ancient volcanic crater floor, which has the highest concentration of animals in all of Africa. Here you will have the chance to see the endangered black rhino, lions feasting on their prey, African buffalos, wildebeest and more. We will exit the crater in the late afternoon and begin our journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in which holds spectacular views of the lush highlands, all the way to Serengeti National Park. Tonight’s stay will be spent at a lodge in the Serengeti National Park. 

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Overnight in Serengeti)

Enjoy the sounds of the morning birds or quite possibly a lion’s roar as you wake up in the incredible Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, we will depart for a full day game drive in this iconic land. The Serengeti offers everyday opportunities to spot Tanzania’s most impressive wildlife—including big cats— and witness dramatic moments of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. After, we will head back to the same lodge to enjoy the evening and relax until dinner and overnight.

​Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Overnight in Serengeti)

Enjoy another beautiful morning spent waking up in the Serengeti. Depending on how you feel, we will depart from the lodge after an early breakfast or in the early afternoon. Today, you will enjoy another game drive in the Serengeti National Park as we explore and search for “The Big 5” and watch the bloats of Hippos as they bathe in the river pool. We will head back to the lodge for a hot lunch, or you can choose the option of lunch boxes while on the game drive if you so wish. We will head back to the lodge in the early evening to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Serengeti plains. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Meet the Datoga Tribe & Maasai Village (Overnight in Tarangire)

After early start to the day, we depart the lodge after breakfast and will make our way to visit the Datoga Tribe. A beautiful drive out of the Serengeti National Park and back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will stop for lunch in Karatu and we will experience the Datoga Tribe’s way of life. We will then start a comfortable 3 hour drive making our way to Tarangire. Along the way, you will have the change to see the Maasai villages and stop to purchase souvenirs made by the Maasai people themselves. We will arrive at a lodge in Tarangire for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park (Overnight in Arusha)

Waking up early, we will depart from the lodge after breakfast and enter Tarangire National Park. You will enjoy your last game drive of the trip here as we explore the beauty of this small but breathtaking park. Large baobab trees and many elephant herds will be seen here. We will exit the park and drive back to Arusha where you will enjoy your last moments of the trip. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 8: Departure

You will say your lovely goodbye’s and will be transferred from your hotel, by your tour guide, to the Airport where you will head home or continue on to your next destination!
